We talk first, in a private room.
You are allowed to bring this up. It is treatable, it is private, and you set the pace.
What It Is
Pelvic floor therapy treats a group of muscles that carry a lot of your day and get almost none of the conversation. Leaking, pressure, pain, and the changes that stay long after having a baby are all common. Common does not mean you are stuck with them.
Most people who walk in have told no one. Sometimes for years. You were busy holding everything else up, and this was the thing that could wait. Nothing here asks you to explain that, apologize for it, or start with the hardest sentence.
What this is: care in a private room, one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist, at a pace you control. Everything is explained before it happens, in plain words, and nothing happens without your yes. We begin with a cause-first evaluation, which is mostly a conversation: what is going on, when it shows up, and what it has quietly stopped you from doing.
A private room, and a pace you set
What It Helps
If something changed after a baby, after surgery, or after years of quietly working around it, it belongs here.

Pairs Well With
Questions, Answered
No. You share what you are comfortable sharing, and we work from there. This is a conversation in a private room with a licensed physical therapist who talks about this every week, so nothing you say is going to land as a surprise. Many people tell us they waited a long time before bringing it up. Not one of them is judged for that.
You have all of it. The first visit begins with talking, not treatment. Anything we might do is explained in plain language before it happens, and nothing happens without your agreement. You can ask questions, slow it down, or stop at any point, and a great deal of what helps is movement, breathing and coordination work you do fully clothed.
Most insurance plans cover physical therapy, and we check your exact plan before your first visit so the cost is clear before you commit. In California you also do not need a physician referral to get started. Questions before then? Call us at (818) 341-3791.
