We test the painful area and the joints around it.
The sore spot is rarely the whole story. Muscle, joint, tendon and nerve get treated as one system here, because that is how they fail.
What It Is
Musculoskeletal therapy treats the whole moving system: muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, and the nerves that run them. One evaluation, one plan, one clinician who sees all of it.
Bodies do not fail one part at a time. A stiff hip changes how your back carries a load. A shoulder blade that will not hold position turns into tendon pain at the shoulder. Treat only the spot that hurts and the cause keeps sending it back, sometimes to a new address.
So it starts with a cause-first evaluation, and we look above and below the pain. Then you work one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist on the link that is actually driving it, even when that link does not hurt at all.
We look above and below the pain
What It Helps
Pain that keeps coming back usually has a driver somewhere else in the chain.
What A Session Looks Like
1
We test the painful area and the joints around it.
2
We treat the driver, and explain what it was.
3
You leave with the two things to work on.
Why It Works
The driver treated, not just the sore spot.
Fewer flare-ups popping up somewhere new.
One clinician who knows your whole picture.
A plan with an endpoint you can see.
Pairs Well With
Questions, Answered
The exam asks your body to move into the positions that bother you, so we can see what is really happening. That part can be briefly uncomfortable. Treatment is then dosed to what you can handle that day, and you can stop anything at any point without explaining yourself.
Because that is often where the problem started. Pain shows up at the tissue that gave out, not always at the stiff or weak link that overloaded it. We treat both, and we tell you which is which, so the sore spot has a reason to stay quiet.
This is physical therapy, and most insurance plans cover it. In California you do not need a referral to start. We check your exact plan before your first session and tell you plainly what it covers. Questions before then? Call us at (818) 341-3791.
